Sexual Health Physician
Dr Danae Kent (she/they) is a leading specialist Sexual Health Physician with expertise in sexual and reproductive health care, HIV and transgender medicine. She works in private practice and is lead Medical Consultant at SHINE SA, South Australia’s largest non-government provider of sexual health services.
Dr Kent is an LGBTQIA+ and neuro-diverse friendly physician who puts people at ease with her warm and open approach. With more than twenty years of experience in all aspects of sexual health, her passion is providing holistic, best-practice care, tailored to meet your personal sexual health and wellbeing needs. She is able to assist people at all stages of transition.
Dr Kent is the appointed expert in Gender Affirming Medical Care on the SA Sexually Transmissible Infection and Blood Borne Virus Advisory Committee. She has worked across the sexual health sector in Sydney and South Australia, including Adelaide Sexual Health Centre (Clinic 275), Royal Adelaide Hospital Infectious Diseases Unit, Yarrow Place, O’Brien Street Practice and East Sydney Doctors. She has extensive experience in research and medical education.
Dr Kent welcomes clients both with and without referral for all sexual health concerns.
